Acoustic Groove Update for July 14,
2010
Hi everyone. I’m still high from
Lyle Lovett’s stellar concert
Monday night at the Holland
Center. Did you get to go? His
new record, “Natural Forces” is
fabulous, and you’re sure to hear
AG work up a tune or two from
it…
Whew, the heat index is off the
chart today! But the good news is
there’s a front comin’ to cool us
off. Hopefully, it’ll make for a
great Thursday evening show on the
patio at The Upstream Brewing Co.
@ Legacy. This is open to all
ages, there’s no cover and The
Upstream’s yummy menu beckons…
Acoustic Groove (Scott,
Gunnar and I) play from 7-11, so
please make plans to join us. BTW,
we’ll move indoors if weather’s
unkind.
This Friday, July 16th,
Acoustic Groove returns to
The FireWater Grille, at The
Comfort Inn, 71st &
Grover. This is another early (8pm)
show, again w/o cover charge. See
you there?
Then on Saturday our friends Mike &
Carrie host their annual summer
bash. We’ve been very busy playing
private parties this summer; you
might want to have one yourself.
Just call us at 981-6253 and we’ll
make it happen.
Like last winter, when the
temperature was differently
dangerous, may I suggest that we all
pay closer attention to animals and
humans who may have trouble coping
with the extreme heat? Shade, fans
and cool water help a lot, so make
sure we all keep our cool.
