Greetings to all our friends and fans (same thing to us,
really…). With snow still everywhere and spring keeping its distance, I’m trying
to maintain a good, hopeful attitude, but I have to admit, this long, lingering
winter has been a challenge. Every time the sun pokes through, though, it raises
the spirit a little more… how ‘bout you?
You may remember the benefit we did recently at The New Lift for our buddy,
blues-singer Brad Cordle? The very good news is that Brad is supposedly
scheduled soon for one of the sight-saving operations he needs. Once the first
eye is healed, he gets the procedure in the other eye. THANK YOU ever so much
for your support; we know how grateful Brad is and will keep you posted on his
progress. He still needs our love and prayers, of course.
Ahh, balance, Grasshopper (please forgive dated “Kung Fu” reference). We’ve had
some downtime, and it’s been a nice break for Gunnar & me. We’ve both been
working on some tunes and can’t wait to play ‘em for you. That leads nicely to
this week’s show at The FireWater Grille. The Firewater Grille has really become
a favorite for us, between the friendly crew, great food, drinks and service and
the funky dock/stage everybody can see. There’s never a cover charge, so “pack
up the babies; grab the old ladies, ‘cos everyone goes…” (Also please forgive
dated Neil Diamond reference…) to The FireWater Grille for some fun & mischief
on Friday, March 5th-see you there?
