Acoustic Groove Bio:

In the spring of 1997, John Rogers and Gunnar Guenette began performing together as “Acoustic Groove”. With a common interest in acoustic, “wooden” music and voices that were made to sing together, J.R. and Gunnar worked up some songs and played some shows. Acoustic Groove quickly began to connect with area music lovers who were thrilled to hear interesting arrangements of great songs by The Beatles, Van Morrison, CSNY, Marvin Gaye and other such legacy artists.

Musicians have come and gone, as with most bands, and Acoustic Groove continues to evolve. Bigger or smaller, the soulful, honest delivery of great songs has been a constant. The current lineup returns to the true, pure essence of Acoustic Groove-just JR and Gunnar onstage together. Comfortable with each other and onstage, their interaction and rapport with the audience is unique, spontaneous and entertaining, and immediately builds a common bond. It’s really live, and it’s really good. If you want the real thing, it’s here for you to enjoy. One show and you’ll be hooked!

The essence of Acoustic Groove is elegant vocal harmony, complementary musical talents, acoustic and electric instruments and a song list full of timeless melodies and lyrics, including Acoustic Groove original songs. You’ll hear various guitars, bass, percussion, blues harp, Dobro and mandolin, and soaring, soulful vocals.

Come experience live, wooden music at it’s very best.
